Root Reception Issues with custom ROM

Since i switched over to UD x8 i have been having lower reception signal compared to before. Does anyone know a fix for this? or if this is normal? can it be the ROM or the kernel? helppp pleasee
 
Yes I did, still didn't help that much. I heard someone talking about a baseband they downloaded ? Idk if what I'm saying is right but I heard something about basebands.
 
Baseband is the radio software that drives the cell phone's transmission and reception to the towers. It has no real effect on your phone's operating system, but having the newest baseband is good for communicating to the towers.
