Help recieving old text messages

I am having a problem with my droid X I talk to my fiance over text through-out the day. The last couple of days my phone has been bringing up old text that I have sent and recieved and they are coming up as if it happened today when I remember having that conversation months ago. I dont know how to make it stop doing it. If I go into my messaging it brings it up at the bottom of the screen and I sometimes can't find the new one she just text me. I am using handcent but I noticed when I go into the stock messanger it has the same texts. Any help is much appreciated

That's the biggest clue that your carrier support line needs to be called; if it were only happening with the stock app, but not a 3rd party messaging app, it would likely be an app/cache/data or device issue.
