Recommendation for Wifi auto login app

Hi all,

I'm trying to help out a friend and a parent here. Trying to login to the free Wifi at places like hotels and such tends to be a bit difficult for them, since you usually have to connect to the Wifi hotspot and then use your browser to login before you can really use it.

I see there are a number of apps that supposedly help you with this, but they're kind of hard to test. Does anyone have experience with them, and is there one you'd recommend that's easy to use for less technically-inclined folks? If it handles everything, that's great. If it gets everything and then simply pops up asking for a password (such as some hotels provide), that would be satisfactory, too.

Thanks in advance for any help!

good luck tracking something like this down... I know there are apps that will do this when you return to a specific network (Starbucks auto-login app) but I don't know if there is a general app for each open network you encounter.

HTC phones can do this out of the box, don't know what the setting is but it prompts you to connect to an available network when you start an app that uses data.

You might also try an app called wifi manager from the store, it has an auto mode that can auto-connect to open networks.
