Thought it *might* be a good idea to start a thread, that asked the question what would you recommend as an application for a certain job.
The idea being that applications that are tried and tested to be working could be shared knowledge amongst us all.
Maybe if not an entirely awesome app, but 90 percent working we could give a recommendation score too.
I could edit this top section and add in new applications for a purpose as either new ones become better than the old ones or better recommended throughout the community, as listed in replies in this thread.
* = Doesn't work, crashes regularly.
** = Barely works, crashes regularly.
*** = Works, limited abilities.
**** = Does all as advertised.
***** = Outstanding does all and more.

File Management...
ES File Manager. ***
Astro File Manager. ***
Alternate Launchers...
Launcher Pro. ***
ADW Launcher. ***
