Root Recommended Maximum overclock?

I've tried up to 1600mhz with no problems. Battery life is still pretty decent.

Source code yes,(finally), but no custom kernel to overclock that i'm aware of. Playfulgod recently received a Mercury to play with, so maybe some good stuff will be coming soon.
