Help Recommended useful things a newbie to Android should know

Tal

Member
I am shortly going to be purchasing my first Android handset (Samsung Galaxy S2). I'm usually an iPhone user.

I was wondering what things in general would you recommend a newbie to Android to know.

For example, how to do hard resets (if there is such a thing on Android, I had to hard reset from time to time on my iPhone).

Any useful tips, advice, things needed to know would be most welcome.

Thanks in advance :)

Those questions are best asked in the forum specific to the handset. In your case the Galaxy S2 forum. Each phone has a slightly different set of characteristics that may or may not be relevant to other phones or tablets. If you as an Atrix owner about an EVO, you just end up confused.

Welcome to the Samsung Galaxy SII world Tal.

Here are 4 tips that will help you I'm sure...

1. Download and read the Samsung Galaxy SII manual from here:-

2. Read this section of the forum which gives lots of useful advice and tips to protect you and your phone:-

3. This thread is an absolute "must" when it comes to installing "app's" on your phone:-

4. Last, but not least, do not hesitate to use the "Search this Forum" feature before asking a question as the chances are that it may have been asked, and answered, before.

Good luck with your Galaxy SII when you receive it. :)
