Record 'without' flashlight? X10

Hi!

Is there any way, you can record without the flashlight is automatically turned on? Even though you disable it in the camera options menu? This is some real annoyin' s---. I get caught every damn time, while recording and I used to be so sick with the K800i's video recording feature!

Please help! Or my days getting 'real authentic/documentary' stuff, may be over. :(

Alternative tips & tricks are welcome as well.
 
If I had 2.1 installed, I would have gone into the camera files to see if it can be disabled, but I am on 2.2 and video recording doesn't currently work
 
Okay. I'm still pretty new to all this with the phone files.
Is there anyway you can tell me, what/how to do it? It must be some kind of a command-document or stuff like that, I guess?

My X10 is in for repair ATM, but when I get it back (sometime next week), I will look into this for you :)
