Root Recoveries Galore :D

I know between our phone and the Evo 3D there are quite a few recoveries. Do we have the capability to use recoveries for the Evo 3D on our Evo V? And can I get some links? I really want to write a review for every type of recovery available for our phone.

I would stay away from CWM recovery for this device. Has been said to cause bricking.

Twrp and 4ext are the main two, 4ext seems to have the edge though!


Do you not already have a custom recovery?? You are rooted and on a custom rom... Just curious
 
TWRP has given some issues to me...not a LOT, just aroma issues.

CWM has given me problems.

4EXT gave me some when I was S-On. Once I obtained S-Off, though, those problems vanished.
 
4ext is my favorite from all three (cwm, 4ext, and twrp).

Twrp was nice it was the first recovery I used when I first got the evo v. It wasn't the touch version though.

One day I decided to try 4ext and I love it. It's my preferred recovery on the Amaze and Evo.

Cwm is ok to me I didn't use it on this phone I used it one the Optimus V and the Triumph (eew!) :p
 
I have enjoyed a different recovery with each phone lol. With my Optimus I preferred CWM, my Triumph was TWRP and the Evo is definitely 4EXT. Doubt I will change unless something new and amazing comes out
 
Well weren't there different older recoveries for the Evo 3D that were made years ago? I have 4Ext. I'm just bored, and felt like messing with something new lol.
 
I would recommend flashing new launchers, themes, icon packs, practically anything besides changing your recovery out of boredom. Even without the slight risk involved at the least your nandroids probably wouldn't be compatible. Sux to start from scratch this late in the game.
