If your using Clockwork Mod or Twrp can you please let me know the following?

How is the EXT handled during the Nandroid Backup?

Does it give You ext.img (Such as Amon RA Style)

or does it give you ext.tar (Such as Amon RA)

or is it something completely different that these two?

Please add version and if its the Latest One.

Oooh! Let me check. I'm using TWRP 2.1.2 (right now).

EDIT: Hm. It backs it up as "sd-ext.ext3.win". I don't know what that is.

Granted, I'm on the LTEvo but twrp lists the below in a nandroid

sd-ext.ext3.win

My cards not partitioned though... And the ltevo has an internal and external card. Not sure what its backing up

Md5 is there because its got an option to check the md5 before a restore

It seems like some kind of archive file. I was able to open it with 7zip, but there was nothing in it but a lost+found folder. Not sure what's going on there. Maybe TWRP encrypts it somehow, so it's only usable with that specific recovery?

The one thing I forgot to try was unyaffs. I'll have to try that later.

I thought about it but figured if it worked with yaffs then no need if it doesnt then no need
