Root recovery mode

hi there. i had a htc hero for a month now. i have rooted it by following the 1 click root, which is using an app called flashrec and Amon ra's recovery version. [The latest is 1.6.2]. after this, i downloaded some app that basically manages ROMS for hero called RomManager and it made me install a new recovery image called Clockmod. but i want to go back using Amon ra's recovery version 1.6.2. is there anyway going back_ i tried re doing the flashrec thing but it does not work.
please help

when i try formatting SDEXT: it says
Cant mount /dev/block/mmcblk0p2
(No such device)
Error mounting /sd-ext/!
what do i do?
