Root Recovery question.

Hi,

Quick question regarding Amon Ra/CWM.

I rooted both mine and my girlfriends desires months ago, at the time I did it one had and erase of 20,000 (CWM) and the other 40,000(AmonRa).

All has been fine and dandy but the other day I decided to give Alpharev/revolutionary a go on my own phone and it installed cwm, it was only after clicking yes that I realised that it was MY phone with the 40,000 erase and it should be AmonRa on there:eek:.

So, have I done something terrible? My phone is working great and I've had no issues, if I do unrevoked again can I just install AmonRa without undoing all the rooting/partitions etc?

Thanks for your help.

The Alpharev / revolutionary version of CWM (is it 2.5.0.8?) DOES work with 40,000. Its unstable though and doesnt work very well. As are all versions after 2.5.0.7 IMHO.

Unfortunately its only the best cwm 2.5.0.7 that comes with unrevoked that does not work with 40,000

You're best off with Amon-RA 2.0.1

It's Revolutionary CWM v4.0.1.4:confused:

As per my 2nd question, will I be able to just reinstall AmonRa via unrevoked without undoing all the rooting/partitioning I've already done? Or is there another way to get AmonRa back?

Ah ok, its alpharev thats 2.5.0.8.

Yeah you can use fastboot commands. See the adb and fastboot faq available by my signature (shows once per page). Skip the adb stuff as its irrelevant.
