[Recovery] Twrp v3 for Zte Zmax Pro

I don't care my zmax got broken anyway -_-

Sorry to probably flog a dead horse (yet again), but all I asked for was irrefutable evidence that your rooting procedure actually works for this phone. I don't think that's an unreasonable request, considering that we've had two threads with over 5000 posts, and some clever people haven't found a solution. So I have some scepticism about this. If you've cracked it then kudos to you and I bow to your expert knowledge, but over the many months of these threads, people have claimed to make some significant breakthrough, and it came to nothing. Let's also consider the stupid infighting and mud slinging that you guys have got into, which although entertaining, didn't really help the cause.

So I ask again - please provide evidence that proves beyond doubt that your root method works. And don't get upset or throw your toys out of the pram when someone challenges you. That doesn't really reflect well on you.

Cheers
LV

It got break after flashing wrong bootloader, was trying to flash unlocked bootloader to allow flashing without the need for the paid app, i already posted pictures for the device running twrp and rooted so i don't know what kind of evidence you are asking for :p also i already gave away my test unit to a family member months ago so i didn't have full access to it, got frustrated as you modified my thread without my permission like if I'm a beginner user and for your knowledge (if you don't already ofcourse know :p) I'm the one who rooted samsung j700p,j700t and lg stylo 2 plus, 3 plus, aristo, k20 plus and finally zte zmax pro that's a long list of devices from different manufacturers so I'm already much experienced :p

We are just asking for more pictures/video of the phone with root access on a terminal app. You are relying on paid software, which is not good

Well, aside from the other devices you've cracked, the ZTE Zmax Pro is the one we're talking about here. I guess what I'd like to see is some independent verification i.e. someone who isn't you're mate, and who owns this device, to take your procedure and tools, and get a permanent root working on the device. I mean there's so much interest still in this subject, that someone reading must have a working device, and is prepared to give it a shot.
So let's reinstate your previous thread content, and make the tools available, and get some proper testing going on here.
And don't get into inflammatory accusations potentially bruising fragile egos. Shall we approach this like mature adults eh?

Lol most of those devices had an unlockable bootloader to begin with. With an unlocked bootloader it's easy to root. We are just asking for more pictures/video of the phone with root access on a terminal app. Not hard man, unless you know, you can't

Come on man, that's not the way to phrase it. Give the guy a chance without the taunting ;)

FFS are you all 12 years old?! I'm deleting anything which constitutes arguing and insults. That's 6 posts gone already! The question still remains. Post irrefutable evidence and proper testing of your rooting method from an independent source.

You're missing the point. You don't do the testing, someone else does.
All you do is provide the tools, as you have already proclaimed that the job is done and root is possible.

If you are still developing, then don't state that you have a root solution available.

So do you have a working solution, or not? That's a yes/no answer.

You are very smart xD

As you've not given an answer to my question, so I take that as a NO.

Why then, did you create a new thread entitled "Finally, how to root the ZTE Zmax Pro Z981".

I publicly call you a liar and a fraud. You post a link asking for donations/rewards for a service knowingly can not fulfill.
That's dishonest.

Either post evidence to back up your claim, be honest with us, or just shut up.

And I don't want to see you ever decrying the efforts of others.

You're welcome to open up a conversation with the mods in the private chat forum.
And in the meantime, that gets you an infraction for unacceptable language.

k, interesting. But who's or which device is that. Since in the past u mentioned given your Z981 away or that it broke while trying to Root it.
So ur saying the $50 app can get it done. But only if done in a special order which you are not posting for some reason. So no way for a 3rd party verification of the Method ?

This will most likely be my final post on AF, entirely.

*Edit Posted the wrong link initially. If you have "Sapphire's Nexus Tools", you have the wrong program.

Due to spam filter, remove spaces in the link.

Above is the link to my Z981 tools before I abandoned it. As of right now, it can get a jailed root on B01 through B20. In order to get full root, SELinux will need to be permissive, or someone will need to find a way to elevate from u:r:system_server:s0 which can be achieved through some clever elevation using both my cow and rec0wvery. All the tools you need to gain full root are in the program itself, but as it stands right now, it is abandonware, and still under my licensing. The program is free to use, but I am not responsible for any damages from using my program.

To get root on B01-B20, simple enable debug mode on your phone, connect it via USB to your computer, opn my program, click the "6.0.1 64Bit" button, then click "Sapphire's Clean Cow". This will automatically perform all steps needed to get root, then open a shell for you to use it. Naturally, you'll need to enter "run-as con" in order to get a root shell, but remember. This is a jailed root. It can't do a whole lot other than being ID 0 (root).

If you have questions, there's a link to my discord inside the program. If I see you join my Discord Messi, I will permaban you.

Good to see ya back, @SapphireEX

I gave it to sister but still have access to it, fixed today by help from uat team

Yes but it only suitable for root using magisk if you try to install supersu phone will just reboot during install so you can't install any custom rom..etc, i modified the bootloader so now I'm having unlocked bootloader and been able to dump all the partitions but still there is no way except uat to flash twrp.

Humn, so now that it is clear you still have access to the phone..

I thought we would need to request support from Magisk to get it to work on it.

Doesn't the UAT program show that it can only root "Root for 2.x.x to 4.x.x" ??? Or am I missing something ?

Can we get an outline on the steps...

I won't be able to help, community started attacking me for no reason when my intention was just to help other zmax pro users to obtain root they acted as if i was the one behind uat, that's not forgivable or accepted by me, any future topics (if any at all) will be posted on xda or my own blog not here.

Dude, give it up. We found your post on a certain GSM forum posted just yesterday, that you do not have root and are begging for assistance. Also, that picture you provided was of a ZTE grand max 2, and, the date of it is 2016. So you've had root for 2 years now? But I digress.

1. My fiance patched the absolute latest version of Uni to run without a license (Yeah. Real hackers can do stuff like that), and attempted it on 2 separate Z981s, both B08 and B14.

2. Uni specifically claims 2.2-4.4. it uses Z4root and gingerbreak. Does not work on 4.4+

3. First you claim you don't have the device, then you claim you do. That's rather suspicious.

4. On XDA, you claim you rooted the Z981. Well, you didn't. I did. And I'm alerting the mods of XDA about the things you've been doing . We have found evidence of your various bullshit across multiple websites, and are submitting it all to the mods of XDA.

5. I dare you to claim my tools as your own, just like you claimed you ported CM13 to the J7, which I know you didn't do becausea aapav01did.

6. Tell me this. If you are stuck in DFU mode as you claim from GSM forums, how exactly did you use Uni to do anything? Well I can answer this. You didn't.

7. We are bringing what's left of your reputation crashing down . Enjoy what little rep you have now, because it'll soon be gone.

LV isn't what's wrong with AF, it's people like you.
