ok well i appreciate the answers i will think it over because i am about to throw the thing in the pond so i am gonna take some time away been at it all day with this thing i cant even get the update from zte to work in the regular recovery

Is it absolutely necessary to use adb? Can this be done from a root terminal emulator? I'm using the 6.0.3.0 touch still and is there much benefit to changing?

Nvm about the adb question. I get it now you can adb from the phone. Still any real reason to update? I don't really use adb sideload. I guess it's good to know it's here if I need it.
