Root recovery using rom manager??

Not unless the recovery is available in the menu. As in it has this phones name in the list of available recoveries.

If you want recovery without pc I can help you.
Flashing other recoveries is a pretty bad idea

moved you to the root forum.

for me i never trust rom manager.

in the old days of the htc evo 4g (the og evo), we warned everyone of rom manager and how it just was waaaay to buggy. for me it gives more problems than it is worth....IMO.

not sure on your device though as i do not have it......but i will never use rom manager on any of my devices going forward.

Don't bother with rom manager.

If you don't have a pc recovery can be flashed using "android terminal emulator" from market.

I need to look up the exact line of code for it so unless someone else helps before I wake up and get fact to you just hold tight for a minute.

Decided not to use rom manager. Got my nand backup done and running and using dusk rom....like it better than darkside.....thanks for the advice though.....wld like to look into the emulator idea

sent from my MONSTER DROID

Shit I forgot about this. Lol.

Hey, ask shabby penguin if He's not busy he can run you through the process. I lost my notes on how to do it flashing dusk.

You can flash a recovery from a nandroid back up or if you have one on your sd card with nandroid manager

Please explain im new

Do you have root already?

If not, look here. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2130276

Download the latest framaroot from the first post and run the gandalf exploit.

Download the zip file from here and unzip it.
http://androidforums.com/premia-4g-all-things-root/732534-oudhs-clockworkmod-recovery-1-0-3-4-a.html

Place the "recovery.img" file in the root (main) directory of your sd card, internal preferred (path in a file explorer will read /sdcard )

Download this app https://play.google.com/store/apps/...um=organic&utm_term=android+terminal+emulator

Open emulator and type "su" and press enter.
Allow superuser access.

Type "flash_image recovery /sdcard/recovery.img"

If that doesn't work give me one minute to try to find the other command.

As boneface said, you can try nandroid manager https://play.google.com/store/apps/...&utm_medium=organic&utm_term=nandroid+manager

Just download the recovery image package and unzip it.

Open nandroid manager and open the recovery tab.
Select flash recovery and find the recovery image

Still can't find command I used... it was like "dd if /somethingortheother is recovery then someotherstuffiforget

for nandroid manager you have to put your recovery img in data/share or data/shared. the cwm recovery is only 8mb so putting it in both folders just in case will be fine.
