Root recovery verified failed

I rooted using ICS root 7 and installed superuser, titanium backup, ROM manager, and acer recovery installation. When I installed clockworkmod from the recovery installation and boot into recovery i get this error in red text "recovery verified failed". What do I do?

I'm sorry if I was unclear. While it's booting up when I press the power and volume down I get that message. It won't let me into the clockworkmod.

Right...Sounds like you had a bad flash on the Recover.
Start over -
Reinstall the acer recovery....then Flash the new CW recovery I posted.

Thats Fine - You are going to reinstall it.

Start back over though....reflash the acer recovery 0 then reflash the The Clockword Recovery I posted. I am offering you steps to solve your problem.

I'm having the same problem, I'm completely new to rooting and all. So I reinstalled Acer recovery , then I got the download from your link. Then I went into acer recovery and installed the download. Then I tried bottling into recovery but I get `recovery verified failed`, Acer iconia a500

It sounds like you're trying to put a HC recovery on an ICS bootloader, which won't work. Are you on the ICS bootloader? If so, download this:

Zippyshare.com

Then pull out recovery.img from that file and stick it in your fastboot directory. If you don't have the Android SDK installed, grab this: http://androidforums.com/faqs/443072-adb-guide-updated-12-05-2011-a.html

Then extract it to C:\sdk-tools

Put recovery.img into that folder.

Download the Acer drivers (if you haven't already) and install them: Download

Then open Start > Run and type 'cmd'

Now type 'cd C:\sdk-tools'

Then connect up your Acer via usb (the micro USB port)

And finally type 'fastboot flash recovery recovery.img'

Now your recovery should be fixed and don't ever use that evil acer recovery app again :)

BTW, I got all this info from: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1622425

I have done exactly what you have said but in cmd i get:

Microsoft Windows [Version 6.0.6002]
Copyright (c) 2006 Microsoft Corporation. All rights reserved.

C:\Users\User>cd C:\sdk-tools

C:\sdk-tools>fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
< waiting for device >

--------------------

And it's stuck on that...

is Debugging checked ?

Geez - I am glad im not on the ICS bootloader!

I'm still on the HC bootloader, but want to change up to the ICS one, as ROM devs will eventually stop supporting the HC one!
