Root recovery vs hboot

Just a quick question -- does the phone do any kind of searching for PG05IMG while in recovery?

To be specific - when flashing a new ROM and radio (going from BAMF to the new th3ory of candy)..I keep the PG05IMG.zip on the SD card while installing the ROM from recovery, then go into hboot and let it install the radio after the ROM is installed, correct?? Thanks!

Nevermind, couldn't wait. Answered my own question :D
wich was? ;)

when you start a thread its helpful to others that may come across it in a future search to provide the answers.

and yes, your procedure is the reccomended way(flash rom in recovery, use adb to boot to bootloader to flash the radio) tho others have done it differently with no apparent consequenses.

i assume youre going from bamf 1.7 to theory,as bamf 2.0 to th3ory would not require a radio change, unless you were on the original GB leak radio and just want to change to a safer one.

i thot th3oryOfGinger was a good rom... simple, smooth and functional. let us know how you like candy :)

Oops! I was on bamf 1.7 remix. I'll check back in after I get to play around with th3ory some more today, had to call it an early night last night. It's crazy how much I've learned the past few days just from reading here and xda, looks like I have a new hobby.
