Firmware: 2.3.3
Baseband: I997RUXKG3
Kernel: 2.6.35.7-I997RUXKG3-CL366622
Build: Infused v2.0.0 Beta 1

I cannot load recovery mode. Manual attempts result in freezing at the Samsung logo and Reboot through Quick Boot and ROM Manager similarly fail.

ALL other phone functions work flawlessly including normal boot and launch.

Please Advise.

Maybe having thay beta of the infused rom has blocked it or something. I am not sure about this, there is a way to go back to the stock recovery but there needs to be an ota update. If you would like to know this way just ask me.

thats the same case to me i went back and flash the unbrick stock visit xda Infuse 4g original stock is there .

the kernel you are using does not support CWM recovery mode.

A LOT has happened since GTG released 2.0.0 beta 1 on XDA.

did you know that there is now a beta 2, and even a beta 3?

both of them come with 2 kernels, which can be flashed in SGS kernel flasher, one of which will allow you to access CWM recovery.
