Why is the notification light solid red? Will not turn on. When trying to turn on goes to solid blue light and still won't turn on

That kind of sounds like the "battery is either dead or very, very low" indicator...
On my devices where I have that, the device will not even try to boot-up until it's got at least a good, partial charge on it.
