Help Red tint on low brightness

I have just noticed, the dark wallpaper I use had a bit of redish, it looked like. I photoshoped the pic a couple times but it was still like that on the phone, finally I accidently changed the brightness and it went away to the normal black and greyish. At this one spot on the lower end of brightness my Epic seems reddish tinted or something a little bit >.>, is my phone messed up already, its new and taken real good care of.

It also looks a little redish when shutting off the screen and turning it on for a second. It didnt look like it on other wallpapers tho, but it defintely does with this one,

Heres my wallpaper >.<, http://i53.tinypic.com/4orqb.jpg

Ok I see what your talking about don't worry its not your phone mine just did the same its the wallpaper here's a thought if you really wanna use this 1 I suggest you download a photoshop like app (picsay) and just make it a black and white pick that should help......

Thanks both of you guys for checking, gave me a sigh of relief lol.

I switched to a diff version snd I guess its only doin it after I added stars to the sky >.>, meh.

I did try the black and white thing in ps mobile, still.

these phones have that SAMOLED screen and it can burn in just like a CRT or Plasma can

and also like a Plasma when many colors are burned in over top of each other it takes on a dark red tint rather then gray or whatever

I am an ISF engineer as a hobby and learned a lot about displays, these are new and no one is really talking about them yet because mostly there isnt any bigger then like 11" or so - but I have asked some people that do know and they told me it can happen pretty fast in the lifetime of these displays, they arent sosposta last longer then 3 years anyways so we will see as time goes how fast these die out

I noticed that mine isnt really dark red tinted but it does have a pronounced brighter look to it then when I first got it - like when I turn it off and its all black while the bottom keys are still lit up before it turns completely off, before this was totally back but now it is more brighter - this is probably something similar to the Panasonic Plasmas that got the black levels brighter over time at a given number of hours of use to compensate for the Plasma cells that get darker over time with use - I suspect (and so do other ISF engineers I know) that these are doing the same thing and your display happens to be turning red tinted

however you said its new so how new actually? - is there any way to bring up some kinda menu that shows total screen useage over the lifetime of the device as long as its not wiped out with updates or whatever - maybe a diagnostic screen or service menu like on TV's thats for the display only not the OS

I have the exact same issue, when the wallpaper is dark, and you lower the brightness, the dark colors get a reddish tint.
