Red tint on screen

I just got my incredible, typing on it as we speak. It's pretty awesome, but the screen puts a red tint thats most visible on grays. The Verizon dude convinced me to get a cheap screen protector, could that be the cause?

That could be an issue. I don't have a screen protector on mine and have not noticed any red tint.

i have the red tint also and am NOT using any screen protector. I think it's a defect or possibly all the screens have a red bias. anyways, not too happy about it but i'll live with it for a bit longer until more info comes out.

Mine seems to have a blueish hue tint to it. Maybe anti-reflective coating of some kind

Turn your red silicone case around the other way, please.

Maybe that's why they have the red accents? To try to mask the tinted screen.

The screen has a light red push. A lot of mobile phone screens seem to push towards one color. You'll get used to it.

i actually agree with the getting used to it part. at first i was like wow, but now i don't really noticed it and it's only been 20 minutes or so. going to compare it to my gf's nexus one screen when she gets home from work.

It's really only noticeable to me in the gmail app.

These screens are pushing red a bi more than I originally expected.

I did some gray tests and got shades of pink instead. This somewhat bums me out. LG has a AMOLED Android phone coming out next month on Verizon. I wonder how it will compare to this one.

This isnt a "slight red tint". All the grays are fairly clearly pink. Even the keyboard is pink. I'm gonna be pissed if this is to be expected of a $200 device.

I get the same thing! There was a picture I had on my iPhone that I transferred over and while it is much crisper on the Incredible, it looks really pink.

mine is viably red too.....not sure if there would be a way to adjust this thru OTA updates??

I bought two, one for me at Verizon, it has a pink tint and one for my wife at BestBuy Mobile, it has a more whiter look. I'll wait a little longer also to see whether I should bring mine back.
