Help red warning

Hi there, can anyone tell me why my active apps widget on my s2 goes red
and gives a warning about battery sometimes. Thanks.

I haven't used that widget for a long time but if I remember correctly it does it when you have a lot of apps running in the background. I suppose its to tell you if you keep them all running it will consume a lot of battery.
