Help Redraws after update

Anyone else getting redraws after the gingerbread update.

I'm getting way more than I had with froyo. I'm getting redraws after I open the settings, send a text, open an email. Pretty much any time I go back to the homes creen.

I have to say...this phone still sucks. Samsung makes horrible android phones.

I would try a factory reset, it shouldn't be doing this. I know it's a hassle but it's worth it.

Reset....rooted...bloatware removed.....still the same. This phone seems incapable of running more than one app at once.

I had a bad problem with screen lag/redraws on Froyo. It went away for a few days after the GB update but then started to come back. Someone recommended I install GoLauncher EX. Its been several weeks and I've had no lag/redraw problems since. Plus I really like the add'l screens, options etc with GoLauncher. After I decided to keep GoLauncher, I also deleted all my widgets from the stock launcher and the phone seemed to be even faster.

I like it much better than the stock launcher. It's free, so try it and see if it helps on your Charge. After I decided to keep it, I paid a buck for the "Black Gloss" theme which looks great.

I installed adw and was having lots of laggy issues. Since switching to go....i have had no problems. Seems like the whole thing us snappier.

I believe there's a way to push the SU app to the phone which will give you root access without messing with anything else. So depending on which Launcher you use, you could be able to hide it along with any other root-only apps so that no one would be the wiser at work and easy to undo.

I may try the V6 supercharger script... just read through some info... wow! I have to read that again due to lack of comprehension of the ramblings.

I use Good For Enterprise. From what I understand the program looks for SU and won't allow access to email and calender if detected. I suppose I could try to make sure.

Search XDA for the V6 Supercharger Script. I use the Mega RAM and Bulletproof Launcher settings and never experience redraws.

Thanks so much for this info! Don't know how I missed this great script but am so thrilled with having it now. I too was really bummed with the laggy redraws after GB update. Now redraws are a thing of the past.
Thanks!

Glad I could help, this script has been a godsend.
