Root Reduce vibration on haptic feedback?

is there any way to reduce the vibration of the haptic feedback?? My whole phone rumbles when i have it enabled and my bro's has a clean and smooth vibration..same with the unlock..its really annoying that i could actually hear my haptic feedback

I don't belive there is away to do this with stock (through settings). If you and your brother are on stock then your phone may have a hardware issue, or hes using an app to modify the values perhaps.
I know CM7 (alpha/beta/trial) ROM for the droid 3 does have options to modify haptic feedback values (via settings) check to see if hes on stock or CM7.

(A quick glance at the texting app should do it providing you dont use any 3rd party texting apps. Stock will have all the blue and what not and CM7 wont)

My brothers phone is stock...I am rooted with libertyrom flashed...I has hoping I would be able to do.something to minimize the levels of vibration..but I know that my phone was like this since I got my certified replacement -_-...but don't.think Verizon will say oh yea your phone vibrates too much..we will give you a new one..

The only other way i know of is flashing cm7
I hate to do this to you, but try googling it and looking for mods to change it
