Root Redux 1.2 Issues

Have flashed the above Rom and then flashed Manu 1.4 kernel and have been having a few issues.

Should at this point add I'm using Launcher Pro, have come from GV 2.2 and did full wipes before flashing

1. Other than switching from current home screen to default home screen the home button does naff all (won't exit apps etc). Is this normal for this rom?

2. Widget locker now refuses to work. When you try and unlock the phone all it shows me is the clock, no slider.

3. Have to reboot each time I change the wallpaper for the change to take effect

Anyone else having these issues??

I have the home button issue on my son's phone using Redux. I was told it could have been a bad restore of data. I reflashed the ROM and it worked fine. Did you do a retore via titanium backup?
 
Have been running Redux for a while and haven't had any of them problems,although I don't use Widget locker so can't comment on that.

Yes I did use TBU. I have also had to reflash twice due to the Widget Locker Issue.

3rd time round I unchecked Widget Locker in TBU, so this is resolved, I no longer use Widget Locker. Might go back and try Go LockScreen (or something like that) again.
 
Scrap that home key has stopped working completely. I fell GV is going to be restored in the morning.
 
Look. The home button will stop working on any Rom after a bad titanium restore. It's not the Roms fault. Stop restoring stuff. Factory reset all will be fine.
 
Titanium backup is hopeless IMO. As SUroot said if your having issues like that just re install... So easy...
 
In the absence of a GV update I've been playing with Redux a little this weekend. Not really in a position to comment on battery so far, but all seems OK (apart from default theme - unreadable battery % and dreadful notification power icons. That'll all have to change). Have flashed kernel, drivers and RIL I was using with GV, for better comparison.

Ti Backup was a bit problematic though: there were a few apps where it simply didn't seem to restore their data. Would say it had, but the app still lacked it.

Otherwise, there are minor and probably personal niggles, e.g. lack of bash shell for terminal. But it really is small! Got it into a usable state for me, so may give it a bit of a "standard" day tomorrow to see whether it really performs differently for me.
 
I had issues restoring titanium backups. Especially for Launcherpro. Not sure if its the rom or titanium itself. Have reported a few titanium bugs to the dev anyway, even on GV (crashed during backups). That seems to have stopped with recent updates though.

Yeah one of teh first things I did was enlist the help of mendozinas over at UOT with theming.
