Root Reflash of a reflash?

So I am just wondering if once you get Cognition, if an upgrade comes out do you have to totally reflash? or is it possible to apply the changes through an update without a total reflash?

DG has two versions out there; The "Cognition v3.xx.zip" is a wipe file. I would recommend going to stock before flashing. "Cognition v3.03 Update-2 (from 3.02 only) " can be flashed straight from Cog 3.02 using Rom Manager.

I can't remember if there is a lag fix on cognition or not, but if there is I think it should be disabled before up upgrading if you're not flashing back to stock first.
