Help Regional settings

Hello

I a looking to see how I can change my settings to remove the number "1" that is automatically placed when a number is dialed. I live in Canada and all the numbers follow this format 1-555-555-5555. I will be bringing the phone to Greece in the summer and there the numbers have the format 698-55-55-555.

I had a Blackberry Pearl and when I brought it to Greece last year I had difficulty making calls. Every time I selected one of my favourites to call the phone automatically placed the number "1" in front of the 698-55-55-555 number and the call did not go through. I had to manually dial the number.

Can someone tell me how to remove this feature. I have recently updated to Froyo 2.2

Thanks

I am also looking for the answer for Regional Settings change in order to get phone number you are used to in your country instead of the format used in N. America.

yup.

I would also like to know that. Couse I like english for sistem language but i hate it when I dial, and it gives me this "-" bettwen digits.

Sorry to say but simple isn't always better.

Hey, windows can have different language and regional settings and android can't?
