I have just had my phone returned after a repair by 3. I am a complete newbie in reality, how do I reinstall the free apps that I previously had downloaded to the SD card?
If you head here, then log in using your gmail details, it should give you a complete history of everything you've ever downloaded. from there you'll be able to install them all again.
If you click the app name, it will take you to the apps market page where there will be an install option. Just click install and it will remotely push the app to your handset.
anyway to automate this process? I have quite a few apps installed I would like to (pre emptively if need be) rig is so when I "reset" or install another rom etc.. etc..
I can click "go" and have it restore EVERY app I had on the phone previously all automatically. Locally if possible.
I am (rooted) I have it (titb) but I am unsure if it does that.
I had issues with "some" apps not restoring etc.. (a lot actually) but that was some time ago. problem is the only way to test it is to DO IT and that is painful if it does not work.
will definitely give it a go though!
for example I used titanium backup to backup the "my files" app in the samsung prevail.
I then flashed shabby mod to the prevail but titanium WOULD NOT restore my files app. it said it was already their but it was not already their.
You can only use it for User apps, stuff you've installed via the market etc. You shouldn't use Titanium to restore System apps. You can set a filter by hitting the search button on the Backup/restore screen then selecting User as your filter.
Google Play has a list of all my dowloaded aplications, them appear like INSTALLED already in my HTC Jetstream, I rebooted the tablet and all installed application gone.
Google Play web page doesn't allow me to REINSTALL o re-Download APKs for reistall those aplications, what can I do?
