Help Reject KitKat update

I don't want to update to kk because it breaks phone recording. How do I get rid of the annoying popup that tells mto update it?
This may be covered elsewhere but I can't find it.

One easy way is to root the phone (Kingo will do it), run Link2SD and freeze he updater app.

Another way is to run a ROM with the update app already removed.

What do you mean by phone recording? Do you mean phone calls? Why would it break that, isn't that done through apps?

I don't want to update to kk...

On the international version of the Note 3

Settings> General> About device > Software update >
Uncheck Auto update

Or maybe that wasn't what you were asking?

The Note 3 has a glitch in 4.4 Kit Kat that causes phone recording to contain only static. Go to Total Recall on the Play Store and read what he says. The only way around it is to root your phone.

Google says the SD card thing is a security feature, not a screw-up. The phone recording is a screw-up by Samsung because it is only on the Note 3.

Screw-ups can be treasure or junk, depending on who did the screwing. Some egghead at Google is probably proud of the new security.
