Root [Release] Custom Rom "Breakneck" for LG Vortex

Oh okay site works, just not from work! Thanks guys. Also, thanks bhast2 for your work on Breakneckmod -- seems like a pretty good ROM.

Any word when we can expect that shiny new version in your Youtube video? Just wondering, not trying to push you or be ungrateful or anything. :D

PS. Why did you stop using your LG Vortex?
 
I've probably spent 48 hours worth of time trying to get overclocking to work, but every time the phone gets stopped at the LG logo on boot or it doesn't work if it does boot.

We need getitnowmarketing's help on this one. He said if he got the source to the phone he'd make an updated OC kernel for us and I sent him a link to it and he hasn't responded back to me, and it's been like a week or two.

I think you should base your ROM on 2.2.1, because there is actually a nice feature in it. You can set your phone to charge only when it's connected to USB!
 
just wanted to say thanks for the hard work on this ROM this is my first android phone and my first time doing and i love my phone more now its much better with this rom and glad to see all that bloat wear gone... keep up the great work, will over clocking make a difference like the jit enabler did??
 
not sure if jit is working for me i'm only getting about 480 in quadrant i installed the zip file and nothing
 
bhast, thanks for all the hard work you do. We anxiously await version 3 of your excellent ROM image.

Will you include the kernel enhancements to allow OCing in this release as well? No big deal if you don't since we can just get the kernel patch to apply it to your image, which is what I did with your v2 image.

Also, will this be available from your website once it's released?

Well there will be kernel enhancements on this rom
As I took getitnowmarket's source code and played around with it and will be using my own mod of his kernel. Thanks to GetItNowMarket for the kernel I will be donating to him when I get the chance.
Next Yes it will be released at my website

Update on the rom
Kernel mod is working. getitnowmarket changes and some of my own tweets.
Rom is complete I am doing testing

The rom will be clocked at 600 as every phone is different like getitnowmarket said when he released his kernel source

Bloat removed like always
file explorer app
setcpu (you will have to install from sd card)
wireless tethering installed
updated apps
Custom launcher
Custom wallpaper
jit enabled
Custom music player

What isn't complete yet is the theming of the rom as that is taking more time that I wanted but I am still working on it stay tune for updates rom should be complete by tonight and than I will link to it and let you know more info on it

getitnowmarketing explicitly requested the following upon releasing his kernel:

Not only did you ignore getitnowmarketing's request, but you also lied and stated the following claiming the kernel as your own work based on getitnowmarketing's kernel source:

You know as well as I that you did not compile this kernel yourself.

One might ask, "How can he prove this?"
Allow me to explain...

I extracted the kernel from Breakneck's boot.img and also from getitnowmarketing's kernel updater and ran the following shell command on BOTH kernels:

Android Forums is hereby requesting that the ROM version containing the stolen be pulled off of whatever servers it may be hosted on immediately.

You will be banned for three days time so that you hopefully learn a lesson.

Upon the lift of your ban, I am requesting that you PM me with proof that the ROM was in fact pulled so that I can reopen this thread and we all can get on with life.
