You won an 3vo days before release and you gonna tell her you don't like fedex? LMAO, WHAT? I could care less how she shipped the phone, hell she could use the pony express. A free 3vo is a free 3vo, LOL.
 
The conversation on the Sprint Premier forum has been referenced several times...here's what Deb from the Premier Team had to say about shipping...

"Hi, this is Deb from Premier Team. So here's what I've found regarding ordering/shipping/receipt of devices when ordered online:
- We always use Overnight Shipping for devices purchased online.
- In general, devices purchased before 4 p.m. EASTERN meet the deadline for shipping same night for next day receipt.
- There is a risk that if the volume of orders is exceedingly high for the day, the order may not process that same day. Once it does process, the device ships overnight.
I, personally, have not heard of any order processing delays happening with any of our previous online Premier First to Buys. However, if online demand exceeds daily order processing capacity, I wanted to make sure you were aware of the potential delay.
The good news is that no one else besides Premier can order online until after the phone is launched to the public. I wish I could guarantee all orders will be processed same day, but I don't know what to expect regarding demand.

I have a request.

Someone (a moderator) said they were going to post the link to the Sprint Premier early order here on the forums. Can one of you (EarlyMon, Novox, or yourself) temporarily sticky and lock it as soon as it's posted here so as to help us who will be ordering that way? Probably useless, but I for one think it would help us Android Forum users some.

I might be selfish here but am I the only Premier Gold that doesn't want that link posted right when it is released? I know there is no way to stop it but I pay more money for a reason. Sorry again if this comes out selfish. Maybe just a ten minute delay in posting? That sounds fair right? Update: After further thought I realize this link is probably for all Sprint Premier Gold and Silver which is probably a large majority of this site.

Not too selfish. I was thinking, too, that other members of the site could jump right on it and order. That's why I'm staying up till midnight tonight in the event they post it sooner, but I'm definitely setting my alarm so I can be ready at my keyboard at 9 A.M. Eastern. Once that link drops, you've got to be ON IT.
 
I don't think that's selfish. If it was a link to say, Hello Kitty Online Adventure... now that would be mean and selfish... wanting to get your order placed ASAP isn't selfish though. The link is only good for Premier customers though and Sprint has never had a premier pre-release supply issue. I think we'll all be good. *thumbs up*

Yes but according to the Premier Forum there is no way for them to secure the link to Premier Customers only, so once the link is posted in the forums ANYONE an order ; Not just Premier.

I was under the assumption that only Sprint Premier customers could order it early... So if somebody with a non-Premier account attempted to order it they would simply not be able to. What's the point of having a premier pre-release if it's good for everyone? Then they should just move the official release date up to the 21st. :o

Now, I know what they say about assuming... so... I could be completely wrong. :D
 
So how are we told about how to order it? I got the email about being able to buy on 21st will sprint send one when its available or what
 
to clear up confusion, a sprint SP mod stated they will be testing the servers and then once the sprint techs give the ok, a SP mod will post up the link. it could be as early as in the midnight hour central time. if they are not going to post it that soon due to any issues, etc , the SP mod will post this also.
 
if you are a sprint SP member, you can order the handset within a few hours from now. log in to the SP member site and stay up to date on this. Sprint will NOT send out an email to users. you must be logged in to the SP site to get the heads up.

having said that, there are going to be blog after blog of people posting when the link goes live and im sure someone who is an SP member here will also post when the link goes live. so there you go.

I dont think any mod should post a stick link in regards to this due to the above reasons...

Well FedEx is notoriously bad in my area. Plus, they won't leave a package at the front office and no one will be home to sign for it. The facility they ship from is over an hour from my apartment. UPS is only 5 minutes :) But she had personally called me to ask my preference and if it was ok to require a signature since I lived in an apartment. She didn't want it to just "walk away."

Anyway, I didn't ask her to change it, I just mentioned that I had bad experiences with FedEx, so she said "Ok, I'll take yours to UPS then." So I'm pretty much required to be in love with Sprint now :p

Fedex is the worst, once I caught the guy knock once and try to run back to the truck w/ my package :mad:

UPS did that to me once...was 2 guys in a rental truck (:confused:), knocked once and put the sticker on my door and was back to the truck before I even opened the front door. Lucky for me my street dead ends so they had to turn around and I was able to stop them on the way back up. He casually said "my bad" and then gave me my package and the thing to sign :rolleyes:

That is really cool of them to give you preference like that. What happens after 45 days? I'm guessing you get to keep the phone. If they follow up with you and ask for your opinion about the phone and service maybe you can be a mouthpiece for this forum and re-iterate our positive comments and concerns?
