Release Date?

Lol this is true as the 3gs i have now does everything i need it to do, but im waiting for the arc as it has other features I want, hopefully I can manage to stay with the arc for over a year and a half though, thats my goal.

Yea when you use customer owned equipment to start service you have the option to not be bound by a contract and thus you would be eligeable for any new device at any time at the upgrade price. However, I do know other At&T stores which are not cor stores (I happen to work at one not owned by AT&T) where there policy is to not give the customer the option as to be bound by a contract or not and they sign the customer to a contract and just tell them they require a contract to start service, but that is not true. If they did that to you or someone you know you can call customer service and they can void the contract to make you eligeable for a new phone at the upgrade price.

Well my captivate has some bugs and lag that I need to excorsise. If it ran smooth and at least had froyo I would keep the captivate its a nice package. Alas its got issues that need to be replaced

So must be later than the 13th if they're saying "end" of February now. Bummer, but a couple more weeks is just a couple more weeks. lol

Hopefully withing the next four weeks we will all be sporting a new Atrix. If it is a Sunday release - lets hope/pray for the 20th at the latest...not the 27th. That would be just torture.

my friend (the manager) said he is still hearing that SOMETHING big is coming the 13th, and they just had training on both the Atrix and the Inspire. He said any question about either individual phone he directs to his higher-ups gets answered with "mid-february to march" although the rep that gave the training threw the date (the 13th) around quite a bit, and their training info says "the next evolution" is coming the 13th...
I am wondering if it has slipped by a week or two, and that is why he can't get a direct answer (although maybe AT&T just doesn't want to commit since he can't get an answer on the Inspire either, and since that is using existing technology, there is no reason why it should have slipped).
Also, it could be that Best has a one or two week exclusivity period...

I'm telling you Im still hearing the 13th too and because feb is a short month im saying it still makes sense with the end of feb

Quite possibly, I'm beginning to think that the difference here might be an exclusivity period with Best Buy (AndreaCristiano, isn't your contact from Best Buy?)... Or not, I could be wrong (won't be the first or last time)

yea he is and he stated that they will have an exclusive for till the 1st of march

Ok I'm keeping the faith! I guess the 13th could sorda be considered the end of feb. Seems weird that best buy would get an exclusive on such a huge at&t phone. Can you recall this happening with any other at&t phones in the past?

blackberry torch i believe and they will do it with the HTC thunderbolt for verizon so i dont see the big deal, even the epic 4G for sprint came out Best buy first

No the torch was released simultaneously but good to hear it has happened on some of the other big handset launches. Cmon 13th!!
