Root [Release] Improved OC Kernel w/ 2.0.1 fixes by t3hSteve

Fabolous

So basically, he has 800 and 1000 MHz versions available. This does break compatability with TempMonitor for CPU temps and you need to do anther wifi fix, but it's well worth it because:

-This fixes virtual keyboard responsiveness. It is now very, very fast. Near iPhone quality.

-Other random fixes with the light sensor, etc.

Here's some videos comparing before/after:

After:

This kernel is the best I've tried, period, for auto-brightness as well...so far, since last night I've seen none of the intermittent flare-ups and moments of laser-brightness that I've seen with every other ROM/kernel I've tried.

Definitely a keeper, and I've asked Pete if he can integrate the updates into his ROMs...if he doesn't I'll keep flashing back to this kernel.

Awesome. The touch screen keyboard has been a little too unresponsive for my taste and I had no idea why. Gonna flash this one now.

Seems some of these Kernel improvements are in Sholes 2.0.4RC1 by the info in the Sholes Repository section..

EDIT: Must be they didn't according to the info on the 2.0.4 thread..
