Root [Release] OC EXT4 Kernel

OK, id like to start by saying I'M NOT A PER-SAY "DEV"
With that out of the way here we go:

WHAT IS THIS?

Well as the title says, it's a OC Kernel. I know what you're thinking, Req released a good OC kernel what is this nonsense? I just added more freqs to it really. Its Req0's msm7x27 kernel source i just did a few OC mods and added i think three frequencies.

I also would like to add that if you phone did not take req0s kernel for 900 mhz, then it probably wont take this one either lol. It defaults to 800 mhz like usual but it can go up to 950 mhz.

DISCLAIMER
Ok you guys know this. I'm not responsible for death, explosion dead pets, lightning strike etc. In other words don't blame me if you F something up. (am i aloud to even say that?)

I've been running my phone at 1ghz for about a month and a half and nothing has happened, but before req went MIA he was running his at the same speed and his battery literally exploded. So take it with a grain of salt. The MSM7x27 is factory overclocked to 800mhz from 600mhz so......

Ive only tested on Spz0's (is someone still conviced his actuall IS requisite0? lolol) OA so i know it works with that.
If you thromers wanna take it and add the kernel to your boot imgs go for it i guess. Just shoot Req0 some thanks when doing so.

Ok i added up to 1.2ghz, now please don't blame me when your phone explodes, implodes, causes a nuclear disaster, overheats, or causes your family to be killed by ninjas. Seriously though. I wouldn't run it past 950.
YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED

um i may recompile a ghz. im gonna run it on my phone for a while and see if there is any spontaneous combustion.

You live in red bluff? thats about a half hour drive from me. I live in redding

Yea, req0s blew up, but his phone didnt take 900 mhz nicely. and he was in a very humid place. (i think Florida) ive been running 1 ghz for about a month with no problems. im working on a gouverner and i may release a new version with 1 ghz.

Also knowing requisite0 it was probably closer to 1.2 ghz. :P

This kernel does work, been rocking it from last night and now have 25% of battery life left.
I could bet req0 had it above 1ghz;)

I Tried The Kernal & I Still Have 900 MHz /: I'll Flash It Again To See If That'll Work.

EDIT #1: Never Mind. It's Working. An My Phone Is Going ALitte Faster :D

so what's the secret to flashing this bad boy cause i cant get past the black screen. My phone could handle the OC kernel so idk why this isnt working. i tried flashing it 6 times and said wtf ima ask this guy how to do it.

not entirely sure how safe it is though. thats a lot over the qualcom recommendation cpu clock is 600, its factory oc to 800. so i actually have it running between 4 to 6 hundred mhz above average

Well, I have my old dev Admire that I can test the kernel with... I'll have to keep it outdoors on my balcony in case it blows up :D

Edit: have you tried 1.2Ghz? I see you have it in your screenshot...

If we can get a 100% stable 1Ghz, I think I can see ICS in the future...

Another edit: Has the phone gotten warm? Any random reboots? Does it act any differently than when its clocked at 900Mhz?

I keep it at 1GHZ at all times, but i have a couple SetCPU profiles pushing it to 1.2. i never get random reboots.

there really is no way to get it "stable" you phone will either agree or not agree. to quote Playfullgod, "not all phones and cpus are made the same"

just cause my phone works fine with 1.2GHZ doesn't mean yours will even take 900. And just because i can get that doesn't mean ICS or anything higher will run. I have req's CM9 device profile compiled and even on 1.2 ghz it runs like complete ass.

I remember Spz0 sarcastically suggesting "popping 512 mb of ram into it too" just cause we can get a "good" cpu speed doesnt change the fact of our low ram and sub-par gpu. Like everyone says: if you want ics or anything higher just get a new phone. even if it did get on here it wouldn't be nice. no hw acceleration and the chipset is ARMv6 isn't supported by any good apps like chrome, minecraft. Just go spend $200 on a new phone with ICS preinstalled.

Enough said, did you release the 1ghz version, also want to try 1.2ghz... eager to try it, running 950mhz no problem ;)

i mite release it later this week. ill have to upload it on my schools network because my home internet speed is not reliable to upload or download anything over about 2k

Answer: Swap partition :D

Like everyone says: if you want ics or anything higher just get a new phone.

._. believe me, that's why I have a Motion... :(

Edit: may want to add in the op that "If your phone cannot handle 900Mhz, then it is almost guaranteed your phone will freak out, in a bad way. However, this can happen if your phone can handle 900Mhz. Therefore, I am not responsible if your battery blows up and you have an bad injury, or for any bricks, or any other random crap."

Just in case some noobs try this, all your bases are covered ;)

Yea i dont really care. It's really not my problem. if youre dumb enough to run your phone unsafely then they deserve it. no offence intended. Just dont be stupid. have you flashed it yet?
