If I were the suspicious kind (and I am) I might suggest that this was orchestrated as a way to grab some "Newest Google Phone Sells out in Minutes" headlines. It's much better than the lackluster reports of the previous Nexus versions being reported as overpriced and just for developers.

It's a dangerous position to thrill the media but piss off your potential customers.

Of course, it could be that LG just couldn't handle the capacity.

Are you all in the US? I've been speaking with some guy at Google and he said they're having technical problems so it's not letting us order...and then he said that there is enough stock available. I find it hard to believe...since he said the best thing to do is to keep refreshing the page.

I'm getting 4 different error messages, and the cart has been emptied 4 times by their "fixes."

EDIT: Finally things happened, and I mean finally. Pressed the button to finalize the purchase, got the message "Your purchase will complete momentarily" with the rotating blue cursor, then another error message and the cart is emptied again.

"Notify me" now displayed instead of "Add to cart", so I guess it's really badly broken.
