VZW does not operate this way. If they do not want anything getting out to the public, VZW corporate does NOT tell operations (stores) anything at all. Publishing anything to stores equals public notice ;) :)

The memo is near certainly fake.

me too, i got my incredible from fed-ex the day before release because i pre-ordered. i don't know if they'll do it that way again though.

Bennnnn just said "Like I said 17th is good to go for now. To my knowledge it has (finally) passed through Verizons testing phase and all issues should be worked out by now so now ball's in HTC's court for the finalization for future updates and what not. Probably why there was the tweet yesterday. Can't really get more official than that."

So hopefully an announcement will be made in a few days...

Sweet! I know HTC wants this thing out.. Maybe an announcement Monday but prob Tuesday

I am a bit more certain due to three reasons:

2) The HTC Regional Rep tweeted the 17th yesterday.

3) It's up to HTC now to finalize everything so it's their call whether it makes it or not.

Everything is just starting to match up and become clearer IMO.

I have a pretty detailed plan on if the bolt is going to be the phone for me and the connection to my June contract date….This is the first chink in my plan! I am not freaking out…yet, but this piece of info seems difficult for me to ignore completely.

SIM cards for demo units wouldn't be activated "months" before. It doesn't make sense even if its not the 17th. But regardless, did you see the tweet from the HTC Regional Manager? Matches up to what I've been told.

The memo that was posted that you guys keep speaking of. That was an indirect thing. I guess direct could get something similar but I'm an Indirect store owner and we get that document in our internal system. If you'll notice it mentions "agent supply" which is the indirect channel. That could be why a direct store employee would have no idea about it.

Now having said that. I got one of those documents on March 9th and its still the only one posted for me. My heading at the top is slightly different but the top section that talks about current shortages is exactly the same on mine. Under that I have a section that talks about end of life devices. I DO NOT have the section talking about the Thunderbolt and other upcoming devices. I also find it odd that that section is in a different font or at least size on this leaked document. So while the document is indeed real that section could possibly be photoshopped. It could also be real and maybe a different area of the country included that information in their copy of it.

Also touching on the person that talked to an authorized agent employee and he stated the phone isn't coming this week. There is no way he can no that. They haven't told us that. We generally can only order the devices the day before the release or two days before at the most. We probably wont know anything until its either publicly announced or until the day it shows up on our ordering site. I can tell you its listed on our inventory price sheet with our cost and says Available March.
