[RELEASED] The 4.3 inch "Thunderbolt" aka "Mecha" aka "Incredible HD" from HTC...beyond coming soon!

question should i get this phone if i am going over seas for a year?

No... I would advise you to get a GSM device (depending on where your going) such as an IPHONE4 that will support HSPA+ as LTE isnt rolling out soon enough to warrant and there will be great devices when u come back.. tri-core and all..

well i didnt want to hear that but i thank you for the response, by the time i come back something new might be out anyway. thank you

Lmao.. I happened to get a link back from my blog to this thread so I fig I would check it out.. I actually am a member of most forums if only to check out posts that I get sent to look at.

fav thing would have to be the kickstand. its a gimmick but its a cool one..

Least favorite would have to be that it did not ship with the proposed resolution and screen.. SLCD is nice but its not the top of the line...

Plus its still using Pentile despite using SLCD. I thought using SLCD meant no Pentile?

I find it ****ing hilarious that I have been saying that the bolt has battery life issues and no one believes till @Engadget says it?

@black_man_x I'm not sure battery tweaks are going to do it. Probably need new battery tech or sizes at least.

Damn, I've got to get a life lol

Every delay has been like a stab in the back and yet I dread the thought of this pre-release madness ending. I am not sure what I will do when the TB is released, perhaps joining the forum and obsessing with everyone else here everyday will be better than having the actual phone...I might just put it up on ebay and start all over for the droid, then the Revolution.

You wait for the next best thing so you can do it all over again. :p

So, from the tweets DBGoolsby has posted...battery life has been confirmed to be meh? So so on 3g, and a hog on 4g? If so, good grief! I know not every Android phone has bad battery life, my wife gets a day easy with her Dinc, and me with my Eris (both light use), but does it seem like there is a problem with how much juice this OS uses in general.

Can anyone translate Korean? This is from a Korean newspaper today.

Its from AC forum. The original poster said it translates to a March 3 event hosted by Verizon and HTC and they are raffling off 6 Thunderbolts.

Really? Hmm. They must know something. Honestly, this may be the best source we've seen to date. Disclaimer: Assuming 1) the translation is accurate and 2) there is no difference between the phone they would get versus the one we would get.

Very interested in this. I am of the opinion that the TV ad removal from YouTube is a BAAAAD sign. I've taken a lot of heat for calling this phone (which I want) Vaporware, but I honestly don't think we see it anytime soon, if ever.

Last one out of this forum, please turn off the lights...

I'm not sure whether the translation is accurate or not so that's why I posted here if anyone knew Korean to verify it.

Ill agree with you after this coming Thursday (3rd). If it does not release then, or a date released by VZW, then I will seriously consider getting the next best thing thats already out.

Here is the deal:
It just talks about a free seminar going on in Korea to tell you about the phone. It gives you the location for the seminar and the agenda (hence the 7:00 to 9:00 schedule)...but without a date. It also says that it will talk about six different smartphones, but the TB is $600 for the phone. It is sponsored by Verizon. They also indicate that there will be door prizes, etc. at the event. I was then told by my wife that she wants the phone to hurry up and release because she is tired of hearing me talk about not having the phone :)
