[RELEASED] The 4.3 inch "Thunderbolt" aka "Mecha" aka "Incredible HD" from HTC...beyond coming soon!

I don't know what "cleaner feeling" means.

I'm disappointed in resolution on the TB but also that its a 4.3" screen. I need a 4" screen. Oh well, guess I'll wait until August.

How does he know there'll be an Incredible 2 if he's never seen it?

Blackmanx appears to be a tester for Verizon. Going thru his tweets, it sounds like he currently is testing 2 iphones, a thunderbolt, a bionic, the samsung lte phone, and soon a xoom. I would think that the people who are testing the devices know what's coming down the pike (like the Inc2). So even though he hasn't seen the device, he know's something about it, just like we knew about the incredible hd/mecha/tbolt well before ces.

As far as the "cleaner feeling" I take that to mean very responsive/ low lag.

I'm pretty sure you will, because you could just as easily travel to somewhere there is 4g and use it, and eventually 4g will come to your area.

I am not in a 4g area. I hope I don't have to pay the additional fee for 4g to get this phone.

I am just outside Chicago, close enough that the switch can be flipped any minute. I wonder how they will do this. For instance I do not think I should have to pay if not in my area, however I want it if I go into Chicago or into an area that has it. Not sure what to think!!!

One of two things will happen. Either you will pay the 4g surcharge or you will not pay and will not get 4G. With Sprint, they charge everybody the extra even if you are no where near a 4G market. I would guess Verizon will do the same.

Makes sense. I do not mind I guess. I will have LTE soon enough.

I'm stoked to pick this up I called Verizon to check my upgrades and I have 2 available now and 5 more over the next 12 months . Thunderbolt now Dual core in the fall

Ditto. As soon as it's announced, I'm getting it. Coincidentally, they are opening a new Verizon store right next to my subdivision... maybe right in time for the launch? Plus, as I said before my birthday is March 1st. Soooooo.... Is this destiny???

I read that inorder to use 4g in these phones it requires a sim card of sorts. Perhaps of you aren't in a 4g coverage area you can simply opt not to get the card.

I want this phone. I have 7 cellphones (I personally have 2 and my wife and 4 kids!) and 4 are up for renewel now. However, I am bummed that it is not dual-core since all the other new phones coming out will be. I guess there's pros and cons to both: Pro, better battery life since it only has a single core. Con: slower and older technology.

Biggest gripe is they put the charge port/USB on the SAME side the phone sits on when the kickstand is out! Meaning you can't charge it while watching Slingbox! Why not put it on the end like the EVO is????

Maybe an angled usb cable would work?

didn't notice that until you pointed it out. seems like an odd oversight, but this phone is different from the EVO so they probably had to put it there due to changes in the internal packaging.

definitely NOT a deal breaker for me, but it i see how it can be annoying if you want to charge and use the kickstand while watching movies/videos or skype chatting.

Actually, the Bionic is the only dual core out of the bunch. The LG has the same processor as the tbolt & the sammy has a 1.2G Hummingbird. The motoblur & the fact that they haven't perfected the power management are what are keeping me from going with the bionic. That and the Android os is not setup to take advantage of dual core processors.
