Hello all. I am a Boost Mobile Guy. I have a Samsung Prevail. I have been on the hunt for something better. Sadly right now Boost doesn't have alot of options. The ZTE Warp, after reading thru that thread it seems like it has lots of problems. Than there is the Lg Marquee. Since no Boost stores seem to have working demos I have been to a couple of Sprint Stores phone seems nice but everybody seems to say its a bit laggy and non responsive, as well as it seems like there is not really a fan following there section is not very active. I was hoping people here could share there experiences with this phone. How do you guys like it ? Is it snappy ? Any problems ? Hows Metro Service in your area ? Thanks to all who have read this and respond.

I've had mine for a couple of weeks now and I'm absolutely in love. I haven't experienced any lag whatsoever even on the most demanding games I could find or otherwise during normal usage. The gripe you've probably read about is battery usage. While fairly moderate on stock w/ a powersaving app like JuiceDefender, once you're rooted you can flash kanaida's Homeless kernel and get amazing battery life.

As far as coverage goes, I lived with slow-as-molasses 1x at my house and everywhere else for over a year with my Optimus and relied heavily on WiFi, however when I got the Esteem, not only did I find out my house in a hole in the sticks has FAST 4G coverage, but also does everywhere else I go. Expecting to still be on 1x this was a pleasant surprise.

Welcome to the Esteem forums and feel free to ask for help or any other questions you have!

I have had my Esteem since right around the launch and I couldn't be more pleased with the phone. Service is good everywhere I go (I travel 60 miles from the city regularly). I lose 4G in a few places up in the hills (and have found one or two dead-zones where a hill is blocking reception) but other than that I have good service. In fact I have been getting 4G in more rural areas lately.
