Help Reminder Alarm not working

i have tried in the diary and the task and made sure i set a reminder even making sure the little alarm clock symbol shows in the task one but no alarm goes off when i want it to. whether that be a day before or even closer, nothing.

any ideas guys?

Have you tried the calendar? I havent used the two others, but the calendar works fine!

sorry, that is what i actually meant not diary.

i put the option in for reminder, it doesnt seem to actually say 'do you want the alarm to go off' or anything similar but surely that is what reminder means doesnt it? and no reminder seems to come

i tried it in the calender again.

it does work but it was a single alert that was quite quiet also. i have changed the noise it emits to a different one and turned it up a bit. i still think the alert should constantly chime/ping or whatever for possibly 10 seconds or so as that is why i was missing it
