I managed to set up my DHD to remotely access my laptop. I can view my home via wireless cameras anywhere I can get wifi/3g! I'm very impressed at the moment as the app (Phonemypc) allows me to control my laptop as well as see a live screen.
i use the vnc app to remote in to my computer running windows. sometimes use connectbot to ssh into my linux box at home too. very surprised how responsive vnc was with 3G! will take a look at phonemypc now
ha, no worries. ssh is secure shell. its way of connecting to a computer running linux not windows. ive just installed es file explorer. awesome app that allows you to transfer files between your pc or laptop to your phone or vice versa over a network. simples!
Teamviewer app works really well. It's not going to be the best experience (when is it ever when accessing a computer from your phone), but it works for me. I usually use it to check on my PC if I need to. I like Teamviewer as a remote desktop client, too. It has made helping friends with their computer issues a LOT easier.

The app isn't officially on the Android Market yet, but you can download it from their site. You can also download various versions of the client - awesome for those that are wary of installing things on their computer since you can run the program directly.
