Help Removable Media GONE?!?!?!?!

So all of the sudden my device (rezound) is not recognizing my miniSD card. I have a number of pictures and videos on this and don't want to have to replace it. I have tried restarting the phone, and I have even removed the battery and removed the SD card and put it back in.
Has anyone else had an issue with this? Any suggestions?

Is the SD encrypted?

Mine (encrypted SD and Internal storage due to Exchange policy) does this once and a while. I re-boot the phone, re-enter the encryption password and it's good to go. It's annoying and seems to happen more often since the last update.

When I first got the phone I had just encrypted the SD it would work ok for a few days then the SD would just disappear. It showed as damaged in the storage menu. The Verizon store wanted to replace my phone because of this but I just had to re-format the SD and internal storage to 'fix' it. Even if I replaced the SD card it showed damaged.

If you aren't encrypted, maybe try the card in another device?

I'd attempt reading the card from another reader. If I could extract the data from the card.. I would do that. I'd then replace it in the phone and have the phone reformat the card. Lastly I'd replace my saved data.
