remove app Samsung gt5830

Go to Settings >> Application Manager (Apps) >> Go to "All" tab
and now tap the application you want to delete (uninstall) and then in the opened window, hit the Uninstall button
 
Also, if you're just trying to remove the icon from the home screen, just touch and long-press on the icon to bring-up a menu (Edit/Remove/App info/Uninstall) [although that might only be for ICS or JellyBean devices].
