Help remove dialing prefex < 1 > from numbers

dyson

Newbie
ok guys i have a problem.
i have a Galaxy S3 and it has been having a strange issue. very time I google a number even if it shows up right on google
IE (456)123-1234
when I select it to dial or use google now to dial a number it throws either a 1 or a +1 in front
which invalidates my call. It will only dial with the area code first (456)123-1234

so how do i stop the 1 or the +1 from being added

A phone number should be 11didgets long. In the UK, +44 counts as a 0 sign. Different countries have different +codes i think

I've gone through every setting in the phone and can't find anything. The only answer I've found so far is this:

Ok so somehow the store was able to get my phone working & nobody knows how exactly.
While trying to make one of the calls, the guy in the Verizon store switched over & opened up the "manage running applications" settings & cleared the cache from the "Dialer" apps. Now, it's working.. It makes absolutely no sense because the phone was brand new & was even recently wiped again but somehow it started working after that. Mind you it still shows the "+1" in front of the number, but the phone is now capable of still dialing & connecting to the number irregardless of it being there. Can't be 100% sure that was the fix but that was the only thing he did when working on it before it started working.

Not sure if this will work, or if it can be done on here. The post is from 2011. Sorry I couldn't be more help to you. Here's where I found this:

Phone Dialing "+1" before some numbers - Android Forums at AndroidCentral.com

will try that but the thing is its not just with my contacts. if i select a number with Google even a local number it does it.
i cant figure out how to remove that.

if someone in the us has this phone and is reading this can you try to google a business and if it shows up select the number and see if it does it for you
