Help Remove Folders from Gallery

Is there a way to ignore certain folders from Gallery? I see hundreds of my album artwork that i'd rather than see in the Gallery.

Perhaps there's a better gallery app out there... I am so fed up with this gallery! It's always slow and missing pictures until you reboot... anybody else experience this?

In the folder that has the pictures you do not want to see create a file name

.nomedia

If there is this file in any folder that has pictures the gallery will not use this folder.
