Help Remove Friend Stream

Is it possible to remove Friend Stream from the Inc 2? And if so will it cause any problems? I'm not even sure what it is used for. Also, is there a way to display the entire wallpaper on one screen instead of having to move across the screens to see the entire picture?

Thank you.

Friendstream: Nope, can't remove it. With custom ROMs coming though due to the S-OFF and perm root, that will be a different story...if you don't mind voiding your warranty. That said, you could temp root and possibly freeze it with something like Titanium Backup. But if you're using the built in functionality for Facebook and other social media stuff, you'll want to keep it.

As far as the wallpaper goes, I don't know of any way to do what you're asking. There may be an app that could allow you to take several images (or even the same image) and make a custom image that you could use in place. I honestly don't know though.

Thanks for the response. I did remove FriendStream from the screen. I know its still running on the phone. I don't use any of the social media functions including Facebook. So, if these were shut down would that cause problems to other functions such as email or internet? Why would removing an app void the warranty? As you have probably surmised I am new to the smartphone arena. Thanks again.

Well, to remove or freeze the app, you need root. Obtaining root apparently voids the warranty.

That said, killing the process shouldn't affect email or anything, but I've never actually tried.

For the background, I think if you make a background the exact size of the screen and no bigger it shouldn't scroll. Not sure if that will work, but it seems like the logical choice.
