Remove icon on desktop doesn't work

i have problem with my galaxy s4 i9500 (android version 4.3) Shortly - when i drop my app icon on trash nothing happens.

More info - I can't to remove apps with desktop remove trash, tap and move app icon on the trash icon from desktop and apps is not remove, just icon, why? with my another galaxy s4 i can to remove like that. i can to remove just from settings (app manager).

Try long pressing the icon, a popup box should appear with some options, one lets you remove icons.

Try going into the Playstore and uninstalling the application from there. Should be in your "My Apps" section.

Some apps come preinstalled onto your device by your carrier and cannot be uninstalled.

To get rid of them go into Settings > Apps > Choose the app in question and "Turn Off" the app. It will no longer appear in the App Tray or be usable on your device. Just make sure the app you are disabling isn't a core function on the device.
