Root Remove lock screen clock

Is there a way to get rid of the clock on the lock screen without installing a new launcher? It ruins the wallpaper. Lol.

With the defaults, it depends on what you lock your screen with. If you use swipe you can change the clock to a different one or one with a calendar, but you can't REMOVE it.
If you secure it with something you get no options at all -_-
I use to have a pattern for my phone, but I'm so careful with my phone anyway I took it off after a few months after getting tired of sometimes failing to correctly do the pattern the first time.
