Help Remove SMS Notifications from email client and email widget ?

When I receive an SMS it appears in the stock email widget and in the email client, as well as in the Stock SMS messages app.

I dont want this. Id prefer the email widget to just have emails.

Is there a configuration for this or even for the email widget in general.

It's a good question and one I'd like some help with also.

I have lots of issues with notifications not cancelling out once I've read the message and now, i seem to have a number "1" continually showing on the social hub even thou I have no un-opened mail or messages in there when i check. It does seem a rather clunky UI when it comes to notifications.

One last comment. I consistently have notifications in the header bar (the pull down menu bit) that never cancel out after reading the messages concerned.

Any help with the above would help myself and I'm sure the OP.
