Has anyone found a good screen protector? I had the one that came with the phone, but it came off yesterday. Someone in my family bought one for their droid x but it's like rubber, makes the screen dull and fingers don't glide well over it. I would like something similar to what the phone came with.

Agreed, I took mine off. I have the Realook but haven't installed it yet.

I'm about to purchase Realook probably this week and would love some more feedback from people who have put it on.
I have been debating on whether to keep it naked or not and if the realook is really what people are touting it to be, I'll definitely get the screen protector.
I'm one of those "better safe than sorry" types I guess.

yeah I got the one from TMOB and its garbage. im going to try to return them tomorrow... I dont mind not having a screen protector as I am fairly careful with my stuff. once a good screen protector thats proven to not distort the beautiful screen image this phone has I will consider that.

Invisishield hater here. I know people who like it say people who don't are putting it on wrong, but there's not too much too it. To me it was all rubbery and I couldn't slide my finger on it.

Anyhow, I did just put a realook on my Vibrant. Went on very easy, perfect fit and came with all the necessary tools. Quality seems good as well. Time will tell if it scratches like most other protectors I've used.

I would recommend it.

Sometimes, though, I'm not sure how much better these branded ones are than the ones on ebay. Still, for $11 for 2, it's probably worth it over slightly cheaper ebay ones where you don't know if they'll be good or not.

I a using PhantomSkinz, the orange peel effect is almost non-existent and one of the best things I have fond with these is if you do scratch the screen protector you truly can buff the item out and it will look great. This is the second phone I have used their products on.

:o. You are absolutely right. The screen is glass.:o Honestly I never even thought to look up the screen material as I was positive it was plastic. I mean it feels and looks just like plastic. Anyway, you were right, I was wrong and you are right that I should have researched this before posting. For this I apologize to everyone in this thread.

However, just because it's tempered glass does NOT mean it's scratch proof.
It's not plastic, it's not tempered glass ... try again, hint: look up Corning ... maybe third time is a charm. ;)

Got my XtremeGUARD protector Monday, it's really nice. These may be scratch "resistant" but they aren't scratch proof. There are videos out there showing the limitations of how scratch resistant this is. There are also others out there saying they have a scratch now. The screen protector I have, put on wet 8 hours ago, looked horrible going on, but it looks great now. No degradation to my image viewing pleasure and it is cut perfectly edge to edge and ear piece cut out. While some may afford to jump ship year to year maybe, no personal attack there to anyone not using a protector, but for those that can get a new handset when it is released, don't waste the money on a protector on this phone. Me, I am looking to longevity and protection. It doesn't even look like I have it on there, my fingers glide effortlessly over it like glass. It is better than the Amzer I had on it temporarily from the Behold 2, while that was a nice product still, I think it kept my finger oils more. This one I haven't noticed it much, but the true test comes tomorrow when I have to work in the sweltering heat. You know, I got fingerprints on it, but not as bad as the last for sure. Just sharing my two cents, plus right now, it only cost $2.00.

just went with ghost armor, and had them do the install. i was using the tmo anti-smear. that claim couldn't be further from the truth, nothing but smears and the resulting distorted image. with the ghost armor i was worried about the "wet" installation, but they use such a light mist, and then the phone goes into some sort of low-heat/air-drying box, so my mind is a little more at ease now. 4 hours later and the armor looks excellent. clear as a naked screen, smooth as glass for swyping, and the rest of the phone looks factory. you'd really have to look to see that it's "armored!" hope i never need it, but warranty covers everything for a week, after that, it's warranted for life but i'd have to pay for the installation. it makes me feel better to have it on there, and you can't put a price on that! i also work out in the heat and on job sites (although i don't drill or scratch my phone on purpose, like these videos) so i appreciate any extra protection. thanks for listening

don't know if this helps, because i have no firsthand knowledge of it, but i believe that best buy mobile will install the zagg protector for you. i may be wrong, and also i don't know if you even have that store there.

Maybe you need to do a bit of research this time:

http://finance.yahoo.com/news/1962-glass-could-be-Cornings-apf-978849301.html?x=0

Then in 1964, Corning devised an ingenious method called "fusion draw" to make super-thin, unvaryingly flat glass. It pumped hot glass into a suspended trough and allowed it to overflow and run down either side. The glass flows then meet under the trough and fuse seamlessly into a smooth, hanging sheet of glass.
To make Chemcor, Corning ran the sheets through a "tempering" process that set up internal stresses in the material. The same principle is behind the toughness of Pyrex glass, but Chemcor was tempered in a chemical bath, not by heat treatment.
Corning thought Chemcor sheets created this way would be the material of choice in car windshields, but British rival Pilkington Bros. intervened with a far cheaper mass-production approach. And another Chemcor adaptation in photochromic sunglasses also fizzled in the retail market.
Fusion draw finally proved its commercial value when Japanese electronics companies, looking for slim sheets free of alkalis that contaminate liquid crystals, turned to Corning's soda-lime LCD glass in the 1980s. Corning rapidly turned into the world's biggest supplier of LCD glass for laptops and that business blossomed around 2003 when LCD technology migrated to TVs.
In 2006, when demand surfaced for a cell phone cover glass, Corning dug out Chemcor from its database, tweaked it for manufacturing in LCD tanks, and renamed it Gorilla. "Initially, we were telling ourselves a $10 million business," said researcher Ron Stewart.

Honestly I don't give a crap what it is anymore, I just know it scratches...just like plastic.:D
