Removing 905 update

The recent 905 update is affecting the smooth working of my Bionic negatively.
1. Pop up roaming banner is back
2. Battery life is terrible.
3. Wifi is on and of...cannot hold wifi.
4. Drops 3g and 4g alike.
5. Freezing and forced closure on apps and mail programs including yahoo and gmail.

Phone was working great, but this update is not good for me. Most of these issues were present when phone was new, however, the 902 update resolved them all.
Some help in reverting the phone to its pre 905 update mode....
Thank you.

Have you done a soft reset (hold down volume up/volume down/power until a menu appears and then disappears) since you did the 5.9.905 upgrade?

If not ... try it.

Thanks.
Thom, I have tried the reset 24 hours prior to posting. There was no change. It is almost like my phone has been rendered to stock. This exactly how this phone behaved prior to the 902 update.

when or if you use dandroide link there is the modified 5.9.902 file. That file will allow you to go back to 5.9.902 and keep all your data and settings.

Thanks.

The description of your problems just doesn't "feel right" to me. You can revert to 5.9.902 but I will be very surprised if it fixes those issues.

Do you run a malware scanner on your Bionic? I use Norton Security. If you don't do that already you might give it a try (before you revert to 5.9.902).

Thanks for all the suggestions. I will follow up and report back. These issues went away with 902, and reappeared with the 905 update.

I'd say try one of the ics leaks. Mine has been pretty solid since. Upgraded my girlfriend's bionic yesterday to ics and her issues went away as well. Reverting back to 902 did nothing for me.

Strange, my Bionic works better with the .905 update. Holds 4g and wifi connections better and gets higher speedtest results also.

I agree that while you can easily go back to .902, I doubt it will "fix"anything.

Is it possible that someone else has access to your phone and was diddling with some of the settings? A brother perhaps?

No Thom, my phone is with me almost 24/7.
CKwik, regarding the ICS leak, can you elaborate on what issues you had prior to installing the ICS?.
I would imagine that going back to 902 would cause the phone to behave as efficiently as it did before 905.

I really only had the data drops. Same with my GF's Bionic. ICS resolved it for both of us. .902 may fix the non-data issues, but the data drops may not go away. Most everything else is working correctly with only one or two apps with consistent force closes and some quirks and nuances with some of the docks. The car dock and desktop dock have minor issues while I can't get the lapdock to work at all with mine (on the 2231 version). Totally worth it to get solid data, with the likelihood that these issues will be resolved in an official release. Worse case, you can fxz back, but I doubt you will want to. :)
